Application
Substrates should be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Primer P83 should be applied with a paintbrush (depending on the substrate) as a thin but visible layer. The drying time at 20ºC is at least 60 minutes. Within maximum 4 hours after primer application, the sealant or adhesive should be applicated. After longer drying times it must be checked whether the surface is still clean. Primer P83 is moisture sensitive; therefore, immediately close canisters after use. Spilled primer P83 will cause stains; therefore, remove and wipe off all residues immediately. For plastics and lacquered substrates please contact our Technical Department for specific advice.

General information
Generally, primers should be applied in thin layers onto substrates that are clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Before sealant application, the solvent content from the primer has to be evaporated. The indicated drying times are to be respected. Most primers contain inflammable solvents and are moisture-sensitive. It is recommended to close the containers immediately after application. Generally, primers leave visible stains on most substrates. Therefore, spilled or unintentionally applied primer, should be wiped off immediately. After drying, primer stains can hardly be removed. For this reason, masking with tape along the joints is very recommended.
Storage
Keep primers out of reach of children. Primers are flammable and should be stored in original packaging in well ventilated and dry rooms. Take further safety information from the security data sheet (SDS) and the label on the packaging. We make attentive that adhesion promoters where necessary, are a component of the adhesive system.
